Twenty-Five Years at the Same Table
We came to this product with twenty-five years of experience inside commercial software. In that time we looked closely at the ledgers, warehouses and cash drawers of real businesses. We saw what the bookkeeper gets stuck on at the end of the day, which key the waiter hits by mistake in a busy service, and what the field agent cannot record on the road.
The quality of a product shows in daily use, not on its marketing page. That is also what twenty-five years taught us: what matters is not the number of features on the screen but how many taps a task takes.
Whatever its sector, a business keeps the same ledger: goods come in, goods go out, debt arises, payment is collected. What changes is not the structure of the ledger but the moment the entry is made. TEON is built around that difference.
Experience also gave us a measure: when a business starts keeping records in a second place alongside its software, the problem is usually not a missing feature. The problem is that the software does not fit how the work really flows. The more software forces a business into its own mould, the sooner that second ledger appears.
Today TEON carries fifteen modules across four products, all on a single core. The accounting foundation is standard in all four.
Because of this, a business that buys the restaurant product automatically has a full accounting system behind it. The moment a ticket is closed in the dining room, stock is updated in the background, the customer account is posted and a cash movement is created. The day’s summary appears on the opening screen.
Our direction comes from the field. When a business points at a gap, it is noted first, written when its turn comes and then covered by tests so it does not break again. The roadmap is set by the people who use the product eight hours a day.
